About XML Sitemap Generator
The XML Sitemap Generator turns a list of URLs into a sitemap.xml file that search engines use to discover the pages on your site. It suits small sites, landing pages and projects without a content management system that builds sitemaps automatically.
How to use it
- Enter the first page URL.
- Optionally set its last modified date, change frequency and priority.
- Use + Add URL for each additional page.
- Copy the generated XML, save it as sitemap.xml, and submit it in Google Search Console.
Good to know
- Use full, absolute URLs including https://, and list only pages you want to appear in search.
- Google has said it ignores change frequency and priority, but other search engines may still read them. The last modified date is useful when it is accurate.
- Reference your sitemap from robots.txt so crawlers can find it on their own.

Does a sitemap guarantee my pages will be indexed?
No. A sitemap helps search engines discover pages, but whether they are indexed depends on quality and relevance.
How many URLs can one sitemap hold?
The sitemap protocol allows up to 50,000 URLs per file. Larger sites split their URLs across several sitemaps.
