About Case Converter

The Case Converter changes the capitalization of text in one click. It covers everyday styles such as UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case and Sentence case, and programming styles such as camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case and kebab-case.

How to use it

  1. Paste or type your text into the input panel.
  2. Choose a style: UPPER, lower, Title, Sentence, camel, Pascal, snake or kebab.
  3. Copy the converted text from the output panel.

Good to know

  • Sentence case lowercases everything and capitalizes the very first letter, which is handy for fixing a single line typed with Caps Lock on. Proper nouns will need to be recapitalized by hand.
  • camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case and kebab-case are common naming conventions for variables, functions, files and CSS classes.
  • Title case here capitalizes each word. For headline style rules that keep short words like "of" and "the" lowercase, use the Headline Capitalization Checker.
  • Your text is processed in your browser and is never sent to a server.

Common questions

Which case should I use for URLs?

kebab-case, all lowercase with hyphens, is the usual choice for URLs. The Slug Generator also removes punctuation and accents for you.

What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?

camelCase starts with a lowercase letter, as in userName. PascalCase starts with an uppercase letter, as in UserName, and is often used for class and component names.
