About Social Media Image Cropper
The Social Media Image Cropper trims an image to the exact shape and size a platform expects, so nothing important gets cut off by an automatic crop. Pick a placement, zoom to frame the subject, and download an image ready to post.
How to use it
- Add your image.
- Choose the platform and placement.
- Use Zoom to frame the part of the image you want to keep.
- Click Generate and download the cropped image.
Good to know
- The result is sized to the placement's recommended pixel dimensions, for example 1080×1350 for an Instagram portrait post.
- The cropped image is saved as a high-quality JPEG, which suits photos and keeps file sizes reasonable.
- Files you add are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.
Common questions
Can I crop to a custom size?
This tool uses platform presets. For an arbitrary region, use Crop Image in the Image Toolkit.
Will a transparent PNG stay transparent?
No. The output is a JPEG, which has no transparency. Use Crop Image in the Image Toolkit if you need to keep a transparent background.
