About Random Password Generator
The Random Password Generator creates strong, unpredictable passwords using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator. Choose the length and character types to meet any site's password rules.
How to use it
- Enter a length between 4 and 128 characters.
- Choose which character types to include: uppercase, lowercase, digits and symbols.
- Copy the generated password, or click Regenerate for a new one.
Good to know
- Longer passwords are much harder to crack than short complex ones. Sixteen characters or more is a good default.
- Passwords are generated on your device and are never sent anywhere or stored.
- Use a password manager to store generated passwords, and use a different password for every account.
Common questions
Is it safe to generate a password on a website?
This generator runs entirely in your browser using the Web Crypto API, and the password is not transmitted. You can even disconnect from the internet before generating one.
Which symbols are used?
The symbol set is !@#$%^&*()-_=+[]{}, which most sites accept. Turn symbols off if a site rejects them.
