About Random Name/Team Picker
The Random Name/Team Picker draws winners from a list of names or splits a group into random teams. It is quick and fair for giveaways, classroom groups, sports teams and deciding who presents first.
How to use it
- Enter names, one per line.
- Choose a mode: Pick Winner(s) or Split Into Teams.
- Set how many winners to pick or how many teams to create.
- Click Shuffle Again for a new random result.
Good to know
- Names are shuffled using your browser's cryptographically secure random source.
- Teams are made as even as possible. When the names do not divide evenly, some teams get one extra member.
- You need at least two teams, and no more teams than there are names.
Common questions
Can the same person win twice?
No. Each name can be picked only once per draw.
Is the list saved?
No. The names stay in your browser and are cleared when you leave the page.
