About Invoice Generator
The Invoice Generator helps freelancers and small businesses create a simple, professional invoice and export it as a PDF. Add your details, your client, line items and tax, and the tool calculates the totals for you.
How to use it
- Enter your name or business in From, and your client in To.
- Add an invoice number and date.
- Add line items with a description, quantity and unit price, using + Add Item for each one.
- Enter a tax rate and any notes, check the summary, and download the invoice as a PDF.
Good to know
- The subtotal is the sum of quantity times unit price for every line, and tax is calculated on that subtotal.
- Nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere. Keep a copy of each PDF you download for your records.
- Tax and invoicing rules differ by country. Check which details, such as a tax registration number, you are required to include.
Common questions
Is my invoice data stored?
No. The invoice is built in your browser. When you close or refresh the page, the details are cleared.
Can I leave the tax rate blank?
Yes. A blank tax rate is treated as zero.
