About Watermark PDF
Watermark PDF adds a faint diagonal line of text across every page, such as CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT or a recipient name. It is a lightweight way to mark a document as unfinished or to discourage casual reuse before you share it.
How to use it
- Add the PDF you want to mark.
- Type the watermark text, for example CONFIDENTIAL.
- Click Generate.
- Download the watermarked PDF.
Good to know
- The text is drawn at an angle across the page and sized to fit its width, in a semi-transparent tone so the page underneath stays readable.
- Watermark text supports standard Latin characters only. Accented letters, CJK characters and emoji are rejected with a clear message.
- A watermark discourages casual copying but does not make a PDF tamper-proof.
Common questions
Can I use my logo as a watermark?
This tool adds text watermarks only. Images are not supported.
Can I remove a watermark afterwards?
The watermark is drawn onto the pages of the new file. Keep your original if you might want a clean version later.
