About Split PDF

Split PDF extracts the pages you choose from a document and saves them as a new PDF. Use it to pull a single chapter out of a long report, send just the relevant pages of a contract, or separate one invoice from a batch scan.

How to use it

  1. Add the PDF you want to split.
  2. In Pages to keep, enter the pages you want, such as 1-3, 5, 7-9.
  3. Click Generate.
  4. Download the new PDF, which contains only those pages.

Good to know

  • Separate ranges with commas and use a hyphen for a run of pages. Repeated pages are counted once, and the pages always keep their original order in the new file. To change the order, follow up with the Reorder Pages tool.
  • If you enter a page number beyond the end of the document, the tool tells you how many pages the PDF actually has.
  • Your original file is never modified. The result is a separate download.

Common questions

Can I extract just one page?

Yes. Enter a single page number, for example 4, and the new PDF will contain only that page.

How do I split a PDF into several separate files?

Run the tool once per range you need. For example, generate pages 1-5 first, then run it again for 6-10.
