About Merge PDF

Merge PDF joins several PDF files into a single document, in the order you add them. It is a quick way to assemble a report from separate sections, combine scanned pages, or bundle supporting documents into one file for an application or email.

How to use it

  1. Add two or more PDF files using the file picker or by dragging them in.
  2. Add them in the order you want them to appear, because the merged document follows that order.
  3. Click Generate.
  4. Download the combined PDF from the output panel.

Good to know

  • If the order turns out wrong, use Clear all and add the files again in the correct sequence.
  • Password-protected PDFs cannot be read, so remove the password in the app that created the file before merging.
  • The files are combined entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so confidential documents stay on your device.

Common questions

Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?

There is no fixed limit in the tool. The practical limit is the memory available to your browser, so very large files or dozens of them at once may be slow on older devices.

Will the merged PDF keep my formatting?

Pages are copied across as they are, so text, images and layout are preserved. Document-level extras such as bookmarks may not carry over.
