About Time Zone Converter
The Time Zone Converter tells you what a given date and time in one place corresponds to somewhere else. It takes the guesswork out of scheduling calls with remote colleagues, booking travel and joining live events that are announced in another country's time.
How to use it
- Enter the date and the time.
- Choose the From zone, where that time applies.
- Choose the To zone, where you want to know the equivalent time.
- Read the converted date and time in the output panel.
Good to know
- Daylight saving time is handled automatically for the date you enter, so a conversion in July can differ by an hour from the same conversion in January.
- The list covers UTC and major zones across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania, including New York, London, Paris, Dubai, Kolkata, Tokyo, Sydney and Auckland.
- The converted result can land on a different calendar day, so always check the date as well as the time.
Common questions
Why does the difference between two cities change during the year?
Countries switch to and from daylight saving time on different dates, and some do not observe it at all. For a few weeks each year the gap between two cities can shrink or grow by an hour.
What is UTC?
Coordinated Universal Time is the global reference time. It never changes for daylight saving, which makes it a reliable way to state a time for an international audience.
