About Rotate & Flip Image
Rotate & Flip Image turns an image by 90, 180 or 270 degrees and can mirror it horizontally or vertically. It fixes phone photos that display sideways and creates mirrored versions of graphics.
How to use it
- Add an image using the file picker or by dragging it in.
- Choose a rotation of 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
- Switch on Flip horizontal or Flip vertical if you also want to mirror the image.
- Click Generate and download the result.
Good to know
- Rotating by 90 or 270 degrees swaps the width and height of the image.
- Flip horizontal mirrors the image left to right, which is useful for selfies that appear reversed.
- PNG, JPEG and WebP images keep their original format. Other formats are saved as PNG.
- Your image is processed by your browser on your own device. It is never uploaded to a server.
Common questions
Why does my photo look correct on my phone but sideways elsewhere?
Phones often store orientation as a separate tag instead of rotating the pixels, and some software ignores that tag. Rotating the image here fixes the pixels themselves.
Can I rotate and flip in one go?
Yes. Set the rotation and the flip options together and click Generate once.
