UUID Generator
Generate v4 and v7 UUIDs, one or a thousand at a time.
Pick a version and a count above, then Generate. Each click makes a fresh batch — nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

About UUID Generator
UUIDs are 128-bit identifiers designed to be unique without a central authority, which makes them ideal for database keys, request IDs and test data. This generator produces version 4 (random) and version 7 (time-ordered) UUIDs, from a single one up to a thousand at a time.
How to use it
- Choose a version: v4 for fully random identifiers or v7 for identifiers that sort by creation time.
- Select how many you need: 1, 5, 25, 100 or 1000.
- Click Generate.
- Copy the list from the output panel.
Good to know
- Version 7 embeds a millisecond timestamp in the leading bits, so newly created IDs sort after older ones. That tends to be friendlier to database indexes than fully random keys.
- Randomness comes from your browser's cryptographic random number generator rather than a simple pseudo-random function.
- Generated values are not stored or logged anywhere. Refreshing the page discards them.
Common questions
Should I pick v4 or v7?
Choose v4 when you just need an unpredictable identifier. Choose v7 when the IDs will be used as database primary keys and you want them to be roughly ordered by creation time.
Can two generated UUIDs ever collide?
In practice, no. With 122 random bits in a v4 UUID, the chance of a collision is astronomically small for any realistic amount of data.
