About Markdown Code Block Extractor

The Markdown Code Block Extractor pulls every fenced code block out of an AI response or markdown document. Instead of scrolling through explanations to copy code piece by piece, you get each block separately with its language label.

How to use it

  1. Paste the full response or markdown text.
  2. Review the list of extracted code blocks.
  3. Copy the block you need.

Good to know

  • Blocks must be fenced with three backticks. Indented code without fences is not detected.
  • The language label after the opening fence, such as python or js, is shown with each block. Blocks without a label are marked as plain.
  • Your text is processed in your browser. It is not sent to this site or to any AI provider.

Common questions

Why were no blocks found?

The text needs code wrapped in triple-backtick fences. Some chat apps copy code without its fences, in which case there is nothing to extract.

Does it run or check the code?

No. It only extracts the code as written. Always review AI-generated code before running it.
